Manchester United and Manchester City were reportedly among the four Premier League clubs that sent scouts to Georgia's Euro 2024 qualification match against Spain last Sunday to observe Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

The 22-year-old, who joined Napoli from Dinamo Batumi in 2022, has been a key player for the Italian champions, contributing 17 goals and 22 assists in 58 appearances.

Kvaratskhelia had an outstanding season with Napoli last year, scoring 14 goals and providing 17 assists in 43 games across all competitions. Despite ongoing speculation about his future, the forward, under contract with Napoli until June 2027, continued to impress this season, notching three goals and five assists in 15 appearances.

The recent Georgia vs. Spain match drew the attention of Premier League clubs, with Manchester United and Manchester City reportedly scouting Kvaratskhelia. Chelsea and Newcastle United also had representatives present to closely observe his performance. Major European clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain are said to be interested in signing him in the future.

Although Kvaratskhelia found the net against Spain, his efforts weren't enough to prevent a 3-1 defeat for Georgia. With 15 goals and seven assists in 28 international appearances, he remains a key asset for his national team, which has a chance to qualify for the European Championship through the playoffs.

Despite Napoli's potential to command a substantial transfer fee, the club reportedly has no intention of selling Kvaratskhelia. His impressive record includes two goals and five assists in 13 Champions League appearances and 15 goals and 17 assists in 45 Serie A matches.

Kvaratskhelia, who previously played for Rubin Kazan from 2019 to 2022, left the club last year due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Looking ahead, both Manchester United and Manchester City are anticipated to bolster their attacking options next year, and they have also been linked with Bayern's Leroy Sane, whose contract at Allianz Arena expires in the summer of 2025. It is understood that Sane could potentially leave Bayern Munich at the end of the current campaign.
