Brendan Rodgers is purportedly eager to take on the mantle of the next Tottenham Hotspur manager. In recent weeks, the Northern Irishman's tenure at Leicester City came to an abrupt end, with the Foxes languishing in the Premier League relegation zone. Despite this, his leadership at the King Power Stadium remains a laudable feat, highlighted by winning the 2021 FA Cup and leading Leicester to two fifth-placed finishes in the Premier League, winning 92 of his 204 matches in charge of the East Midlands side.

His last season at Leicester City was plagued by financial difficulties, impeding Rodgers from significantly reinvigorating his squad during the summer. At present, the 50-year-old is taking a hiatus from the dugout, biding his time for the next challenge that comes his way.

The Football Insider reports that Rodgers seeks an opportunity to take charge of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium from the summer onwards, with Cristian Stellini currently holding the reins temporarily. The North London side is actively scouring for a long-term successor to Antonio Conte, with a number of potential candidates in the fray. However, no clear frontrunner has emerged yet, with Vincent Kompany, Julian Nagelsmann, Mauricio Pochettino, Graham Potter, and Arne Slot among the names mentioned in connection to the job since Conte's departure last month.

Nevertheless, reports suggest that Rodgers is likely to be interviewed for the position in the coming weeks, with chairman Daniel Levy an admirer of the tactician. Rodgers has experience leading high-profile clubs, having taken charge of Liverpool and Celtic in the past.
