Manchester United seems not to have any plan to secure Sofyan Amrabat on a permanent basis in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Moroccan international's future was a topic of much discussion over the summer, and he joined Man United on loan from Fiorentina in the final stages of the transfer market.

The loan is reportedly costing Erik ten Hag's side around €10m (£8.6m), with a purchase option of €20m (£17.1m) plus €5m (£4.3m) in add-ons expected next summer. Despite being a regular player for the 20-time English champions this season, featuring in 17 matches across all competitions and playing the full 90 minutes in the last three league matches against Chelsea, Bournemouth, and Liverpool, The Sun reports that Man United is unlikely to make his loan move permanent.

According to the report, Red Devils head coach Ten Hag is already planning for the next season without Amrabat, who was also linked with Liverpool during the summer transfer window. Manchester United apparently doubts whether Amrabat's playing style is well-suited for the Premier League, and several clubs are said to be monitoring his situation closely.

Additionally, Kobbie Mainoo's development is cited as another reason why Ten Hag might be content with Amrabat returning to his parent club next summer. While the Moroccan has 18 months left on his contract with Fiorentina, it's anticipated that he will permanently leave the Italian side next summer, even if Manchester United decides against a move.

Amrabat's starting position against West Ham United on Saturday is uncertain due to the return of captain Bruno Fernandes from suspension. Scott McTominay may drop into a deeper position alongside Mainoo, potentially pushing Amrabat to the substitutes' bench for the clash at the London Stadium.
