Real Madrid has officially confirmed that they have reached a new one-year contract agreement with Toni Kroos. The midfield maestro has been an integral part of the club for the past nine years, making 417 appearances and contributing 27 goals.

During his time at the Bernabeu, Kroos has celebrated numerous triumphs, including three La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies. Despite rumors suggesting that the German midfielder might end his tenure with Real Madrid, Kroos had previously indicated his intention to either extend his stay in Spain or retire, much like his decision to step away from international duty with Germany in 2021.

Although the arrival of Jude Bellingham had raised questions about Kroos' potential decrease in playing time, manager Carlo Ancelotti has consistently praised the veteran's impact both on and off the field. As a result, Kroos will continue to don the Real Madrid shirt for at least another year, unless Ancelotti becomes the next manager of Brazil.

In an official announcement on Wednesday morning, Real Madrid revealed that they have agreed to extend Kroos' contract for another year, which means he will soon celebrate a decade at the club.

According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the terms of the contract were agreed upon in March, but the official confirmation was delayed until the end of the season.

The extension of Kroos' contract is undoubtedly welcomed by Real Madrid fans, as they will continue to witness his exceptional playmaking abilities and his crucial role in the team's midfield. As the club looks to maintain its success in domestic and international competitions, Kroos' experience and skill will undoubtedly prove vital on the journey ahead.
