Reports suggest that Barcelona's forward, Robert Lewandowski, will once again attract interest from Saudi Arabia when the January transfer window opens.

During the summer, the Poland international reportedly turned down multiple offers from the Saudi Pro League to stay at Camp Nou. However, according to ESPORT 3, there will be renewed interest at the start of 2024, as the Saudi Arabian transfer window is set to open on January 1 and close on January 30.

The report indicates that several Saudi clubs continue to be interested in the experienced forward, creating a potential challenge for Barcelona to retain him during the winter transfer window.

Lewandowski has had a solid start to the 2023-24 La Liga campaign, scoring twice and providing one assist in four appearances for the reigning champions. The 35-year-old joined Camp Nou from Bayern Munich last summer and played a crucial role in Barcelona's La Liga title victory in the 2022-23 season, scoring 23 goals in Spain's top flight.

In the previous season, Lewandowski notched a total of 33 goals and eight assists in 46 club appearances. He still has three years left on his contract, with the option of an additional year.

Given Barcelona's financial situation, the club would face a difficult decision if presented with a significant offer for the veteran forward. However, it seems unlikely that they would allow him to leave in the middle of the season.

Barcelona currently lacks genuine competition for Lewandowski in the center-forward position. While they did secure Joao Felix on loan from Atletico Madrid on transfer deadline day, the 18-year-old Vitor Roque from Athletico Paranaense is expected to join Camp Nou in July, further bolstering their attacking options for the 2024-25 season.

Despite Ousmane Dembele's departure to Paris Saint-Germain over the summer, 16-year-old Lamine Yamal, who recently became Spain's youngest-ever player and goal scorer, has emerged as a key player early in the season.

Additionally, Ferran Torres has contributed two goals in three appearances, opting to stay with Barcelona despite strong links to a summer exit. Raphinha was another player linked with a transfer, but it appears that the club never seriously considered selling the Brazilian despite their financial challenges.
