Napoli's president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has expressed his willingness to consider offers for Victor Osimhen during the upcoming summer transfer window. Osimhen played a crucial role in Napoli's triumph in the Serie A, scoring 26 goals and providing four assists in 32 appearances.

After securing their first league title in over 30 years, Napoli aims to continue their success in the 2023-24 season and naturally desires to retain the services of the Nigerian forward for as long as possible. However, with just over two years remaining on Osimhen's contract, there is a growing interest from various clubs eager to acquire the 24-year-old's talents.

Reports suggest that Manchester United and Bayern Munich are contemplating making a move for Osimhen, while Chelsea's pursuit of Villarreal's Nicolas Jackson may decrease their interest in the Napoli striker. Although Real Madrid remains a potential contender for Osimhen, they have recently signed Joselu and are frequently linked with Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe.

If PSG manages to secure their desired fee for Mbappe, the Ligue 1 champions would also be in the market for a new forward, making Osimhen an attractive option.

During the media briefing held on Monday to introduce Rudi Garcia as Napoli's new manager, following Luciano Spalletti's sabbatical decision, the topic of Osimhen's future arose. De Laurentiis informed reporters that they had already discussed an extension of Osimhen's contract with the player before celebrating their Scudetto triumph, and a preliminary agreement for a two-year extension has been reached.

"I have said for a while that Osimhen has to stay. Then, if an offer came in that I could not refuse for the good of Napoli, then we would consider it, as is only natural."
Having spent three years at Napoli, Osimhen has openly expressed his aspiration to play in the Premier League in the future.

Napoli, in turn, will seek to recoup a minimum of £100m for their prized asset, considering that they initially invested approximately €80m in the striker back in 2020.

As Manchester United's prospects of signing Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane appear to diminish, the Red Devils may contemplate meeting Napoli's valuation for Osimhen. This could be a plausible scenario, especially with Wout Weghorst returning to Burnley and Anthony Martial anticipated to depart from Old Trafford.

With two years left on his current deal, cashing in on him now would be just perfect
