Tyson Fury has announced his renewed efforts to organize a fight with Anthony Joshua. The WBC heavyweight champion has been inactive since his victory over Dereck Chisora in December, as negotiations for a unification bout with three-belt titleholder Oleksandr Usyk failed to reach an agreement.

Currently, there are plans for the potential clash between Fury and Usyk to take place in December in Saudi Arabia, alongside a match between Deontay Wilder and Joshua. However, the realization of this event remains uncertain. Eddie Hearn, Joshua's promoter, has frequently expressed Joshua's desire to fight in August and face Wilder at the end of 2023. Nevertheless, it remains unclear if terms have been close to finalization with the other three fighters.

Recently, Usyk's team won a purse bid to host a fight with mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois, leaving Fury eager to avoid a year-long absence before one of the most significant fights of his career.

On Friday evening, Fury took to social media to express his intention to fight Joshua at Wembley in September. These comments coincided with his indication that his next match might be against Demsey McKean in Australia. Following Joshua's loss to Usyk in their rematch, Fury used various platforms to attempt to secure what could potentially be the most significant all-British showdown in history.

However, Fury insisted on setting deadlines for the finalization of terms, even though Joshua had agreed to the fight. Ultimately, Fury went on to face Chisora in their scheduled clash.

Fury and Joshua were poised to meet in 2021, but an arbitration ruled that Fury owed Wilder a third fight, which he eventually won and was then obligated to face the long-standing mandatory challenger, Dillian Whyte.

Hearn recently revealed that Joshua has returned to training camp in preparation for a potential second fight against Whyte, tentatively scheduled for either August 5 or August 12.
