According to reports, Nottingham Forest are close to agreeing a deal with Botafogo for the triple signing of striker Igor Jesus, left-back Cuiabano, and centre-back Jair Cunha.

Jesus is a 24-year-old striker who has also been deployed on either wing. He has scored seven goals and provided one assist in 23 games this season.

Cuiabiano, a 23-year-old left-back also capable of playing left wing-back, has scored two goals and provided three assists in 21 games for Botafogo this term.

Cunha is an imposing 20-year-old central defender. Botafogo signed the 6ft 5in defender from Santos in February, but the Brazil under-20 international has already established himself as a first-team regular.

The tricky trees seem to mean business this season, after narrowly missing out on qualifying for the Champions League last time out
