With 15 games played out of 38, Girona are sitting pretty at the top of the log in the La Liga Santander with 41 points from a possible 45, two points ahead of second placed Real Madrid and 7 points ahead of reigning champions, FC Barcelona.

When the 2023/2023 La Liga season kicked off in August, I'm sure nobody, not even Girona's coach and players would believe if you told them that that they would be topping the table after 15 games.

To cap it all off, Girona have the most victories (13) in Europe's top 5 leagues, and their club record transfer was Artem Dovbyk in the summer for €7.75m — this speaks 1,000 words on it's own.

Can Girona sustain the momentum and go all the way? Only time will tell
