I’ve been thinking a lot about our chances in the Champions League this season, and I want to hear what you all think. Honestly, as a Chelsea fan, part of me says why not?
We’ve done it before when no one gave us a chance. In 2012 we weren’t the favorites, in 2021 we weren’t the favorites, but we still lifted the trophy. That’s just Chelsea’s DNA, we know how to grind out results in Europe.
From my perspective, it’s going to depend on two big things: consistency and mentality. We have the talent in this squad, no doubt about it. If the attack clicks and we stay solid at the back, I truly believe we can go deep in this competition. The Champions League is also about big moments, and I think some of our players are ready to step up when it matters most.
Now, I’m not blind to the challenges. There are monsters out there: Real Madrid, Bayern, City, PSG. Over two legs, it’s never easy. But if we can keep improving week by week, I wouldn’t put it past this team to shock Europe again.
What about you guys? Do you believe Chelsea can realistically go all the way this season, or do you think it’s still too early in the project?
