Manchester United's Mason Greenwood is attracting interest from a Champions League finalist as the summer transfer window approaches, according to reports. The former England international is not expected to return to the Red Devils after being told last year that there was no way back for him following his arrest and the subsequent dropping of the criminal case.

Greenwood was arrested in January 2022 on suspicion of rape and assault after allegations surfaced online. He was further arrested for sexual assault and making threats to kill. United immediately suspended him, and he was later charged with attempted rape, assault causing actual bodily harm, and controlling and coercive behavior, with a trial set for November 2023.

However, the Crown Prosecution Service dropped the case against Greenwood after new evidence emerged and key witnesses withdrew, allowing him to resume his career. United had reportedly planned to reintegrate him after an internal review, but public backlash led them to reverse this decision.

Since then, Greenwood has revitalized his career on loan with La Liga side Getafe, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in 34 games. This impressive performance has caught the attention of several top European clubs.

The Mirror reports that Borussia Dortmund has joined the race to sign Greenwood, competing with Juventus, Atletico Madrid, and Napoli. While Getafe is keen to extend his loan for another season, United prefers a permanent transfer.

Juventus has reportedly made significant progress by holding talks with Greenwood's father, but United's valuation may pose a challenge for the Italian club.
