Reports suggest that Borussia Dortmund aren't looking to permanently sign Jadon Sancho this summer but instead prefer another loan deal for the Manchester United player. The 23-year-old returned to Dortmund on loan in January and has featured in eight games for the German club during his second stint, providing two assists.

As it stands, Sancho will return to Manchester United this summer, with two years remaining on his contract with the English champions. However, it's unlikely he'll have a future under current head coach Erik ten Hag. There's speculation that he could return to the Manchester United first-team setup if there's a managerial change at the end of the season.

Manchester United is reportedly keen on selling Sancho this summer and is set to hold talks with Dortmund in the coming weeks. However, Dortmund isn't planning to permanently re-sign Sancho this summer but will instead aim for another loan deal for the 2024-25 season.

There might be an option to make the move permanent later, but Manchester United isn't likely to agree to another loan unless there's an obligation to purchase him.

Sancho made substitute appearances in Manchester United's first three Premier League matches of the current season but was notably absent against Arsenal in September. Ten Hag cited poor performances in training for his exclusion, a claim Sancho denied on social media, leading to a rift with Ten Hag.

Following this fallout, Sancho was sidelined from the Manchester United first-team and later left in the winter transfer window to return to Dortmund. He's struggled to make a significant impact for Manchester United, managing 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances since joining from Dortmund in 2021.

Since returning to Dortmund, Sancho hasn't completed a full match but has started in their last three Bundesliga matches and in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven on February 20.
