According to reports, Bayern Munich has expressed interest in acquiring the services of Manchester United's attacker, Jadon Sancho, during the upcoming January transfer window, as doubts linger about his future at Old Trafford. The 23-year-old is embarking on his third Premier League season with the Red Devils, following his £73 million move from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021.

Since then, Sancho has made 82 appearances for Manchester United, scoring 12 goals over the course of two years. However, his future playing time may be in jeopardy due to a recent disagreement with head coach Erik ten Hag. In a recent Premier League match against Arsenal, Sancho was omitted from Manchester United's matchday squad, with Ten Hag suggesting that the player's training performances did not meet the required standards.

Sancho swiftly responded to his Dutch coach's comments on social media, stating that he had been unfairly singled out as a "scapegoat" when the team's results were less than favorable. According to reports from Fichajes, Bayern Munich has emerged as a contender to bring Sancho back to the Bundesliga in January, given the uncertainty surrounding his Manchester career.

The report indicates that the German champions have been in contact with the 23-time England international over the summer, making the player aware of Thomas Tuchel's team's interest in him. It is believed that Bayern Munich is confident that a deal could be negotiated with Manchester United for as little as €50 million (£42.8 million), despite Sancho's £73 million transfer to Old Trafford just two seasons ago.

Bayern Munich is reportedly optimistic that Sancho can rediscover his form at the Allianz Arena, surrounded by offensive talents like Harry Kane. During his time at Borussia Dortmund between 2017 and 2021, Sancho scored 50 goals in 137 appearances and provided an impressive 33 goal contributions during the 2019-20 Bundesliga campaign. However, his performance in the Premier League last season, with six goals and three assists in 26 games, came closest to replicating his Dortmund productivity since his move to Manchester United in July 2021.

Recent reports from earlier in the week have suggested that Sancho could face exclusion from Manchester United's squad after publicly criticizing the club's head coach, Ten Hag, on social media. Struggling to secure a regular spot in the Manchester United lineup, the former Manchester City youth prospect has not been included in a senior England squad since November 2021, causing him to miss the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Manchester United's next Premier League fixture following the season's first international break will see them host Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford on September 16th.
