Reports suggest that Manchester United striker, Anthony Martial has garnered interest from several Saudi Arabian clubs, potentially leading to his departure from Old Trafford before the closure of the summer transfer window. Martial, 27 years old, faced a setback during pre-season for the Red Devils, as a hamstring issue he sustained towards the end of the previous season prevented him from making any appearances.

During Manchester United's Premier League opener against Wolverhampton Wanderers last Monday, Martial remained on the bench, and in the subsequent 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur, he was only on the field for the final five minutes. The club currently faces a shortage of options in the center-forward position, as Rasmus Hojlund, a new signing, is sidelined due to a back problem. Consequently, Marcus Rashford has been positioned in the center, although his performance against Wolves and Spurs was lackluster.

Erik ten Hag, the head coach, had initially intended to secure another forward alongside Hojlund during the summer transfer window. However, Manchester United's ability to do so depends on potential departures due to Financial Fair Play regulations.

Amid these circumstances, there are rumors of potential departures from the squad. Brandon Williams and Donny van de Beek are reportedly considering moves, while Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, and Eric Bailly are linked to possible exits.

Recent reports from The Mirror indicate that Martial might indeed leave before the transfer window concludes, with Saudi Arabian clubs expressing interest. West Ham United is also interested, but they may struggle to match the financial offers from teams within the Saudi Pro League. Al-Hilal was reportedly considering Martial as an alternative to Aleksandar Mitrovic, although they recently confirmed the signing of Mitrovic from Fulham.

Martial joined Manchester United in 2015 from Monaco and has since made 299 appearances across various competitions, scoring 88 goals and contributing 53 assists. Last season, his appearances were limited to 29 matches due to various factors, but he managed to find the net nine times.

Manchester United is unlikely to allow Martial's departure without securing a suitable replacement. Additionally, the club is reportedly exploring options to bring in a defensive midfielder. Following their loss to Spurs, the 20-time English champions are determined to bounce back when they face Nottingham Forest in their upcoming fixture.
