Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed the signing of Portuguese international striker, Goncalo Ramos on a 1 year loan deal with an option to buy from Benfica. This summer has been quite busy for the Ligue 1 giants, as they've been working on bolstering their team for both the present and the future. They've managed to bring in a total of eight new players during this transfer window.

With Lionel Messi leaving the team on a free transfer and PSG looking to part ways with Kylian Mbappe, it became really important for them to find a new frontman. While there have been rumors linking players like Victor Osimhen, Harry Kane, and Dusan Vlahovic to Parc des Princes, the French club surprised everyone by choosing to go ahead with the signing of Ramos.

The details of the deal are quite interesting. Ramos, who is 22 years old, will be joining PSG on a season-long loan with the possibility of a permanent transfer in 2024. While the exact amount for a potential future transfer fee hasn't been disclosed yet, well-known transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has indicated that the deal is valued at €80 million (£68.9 million). This includes a guaranteed fee of €65 million (£55.98 million) along with an additional €15 million (£12.92 million) that could be added based on certain conditions.

In his statement to the official PSG website, Ramos expressed his pride and happiness about joining the team:

"I'm very proud and happy to join Paris Saint-Germain. PSG is one of the biggest clubs in the world with one of the best squads."

President Nasser Al-Khelaifi also shared his thoughts, saying,
"We are very happy to welcome Gonçalo Ramos as an exciting new striker in our PSG family.

"Gonçalo is a fantastic international player, who is young, hungry and fights for the team. It is these kinds of players who are the future of our great institution."
