It seems Juventus has decided to drop their pursuit of Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, reportedly due to his recent thigh surgery. Partey, who faced fitness challenges in his initial two years with Arsenal, showcased a successful 2022-23 season alongside Granit Xhaka, contributing to Arsenal's second-place finish in the Premier League.

Despite earlier speculation about a potential move to Juventus or Saudi Arabia, Partey remained with Arsenal during the summer transfer window. However, his ongoing physical concerns resurfaced this season. After a groin injury in September, he suffered another muscular injury at the end of August. Initially expected to be sidelined for a few weeks, recent reports suggest he underwent a thigh operation that might keep him out for the rest of the year.

Before his injury setbacks, Partey had reportedly become discontent with his altered role in Arsenal's lineup. He had to play as a right-back in the first three games of the 2023-24 Premier League season to accommodate new signing Kai Havertz. With Jorginho, Declan Rice, and Martin Odegaard also regulars in the Arsenal midfield, it's rumored that Arsenal is willing to sell Partey in the middle of the season.

While Juventus had been seen as the frontrunners to secure Partey's services, the Evening Standard suggests that the Italian club has now ended their interest, likely due to his recent surgical procedure.
