Reports suggest that Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo is nearing a transfer to Fiorentina. Last summer, Juventus permitted the Brazilian international to join Liverpool on a season-long loan, with the Premier League club having the option to make the move permanent in 2023.

However, Arthur's time at Anfield was marred by a lack of match fitness and a subsequent thigh injury, resulting in several months on the sidelines. Upon his recovery, the 26-year-old found himself low in Jurgen Klopp's pecking order, making it evident that he would return to Turin.

Juventus is currently focused on parting ways with several high-earning players, including Arthur. Nonetheless, the former Barcelona player has reportedly garnered significant attention. Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with Arthur on multiple occasions, and Crystal Palace has also been monitoring the situation as they seek to bolster their midfield.

While Arthur allegedly has a tempting offer from Saudi Arabia, it seems that he has chosen to continue his career in Italy. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano's Twitter account, Fiorentina is in advanced negotiations with Juventus for a season-long loan agreement.

Fiorentina would have the option to purchase Arthur at the end of the 2023-24 season, with Juventus also covering a portion of his wages for the upcoming campaign.
