Philippe Clement's unbeaten run as the Rangers manager came to a halt after 17 games, as Celtic secured a 2-1 victory in a Scottish Premiership Old Firm derby at Celtic Park.

The decisive goals were two impressive strikes from Paulo Bernardo and Kyogo Furuhashi, giving Celtic the edge over the visiting team. Despite having numerous chances in the first half, the Rangers couldn't capitalize and saw their troubles compounded when Leon Balogun received a straight red card.

A spectacular free kick from James Tavernier in the closing moments added tension to the final stages, making it more nerve-wracking than necessary for the defending champions. However, as the clock hit three figures, Celtic celebrated ending 2023 on a high note.
