Barcelona reportedly has no intention of parting ways with head coach Xavi in the foreseeable future. The 43-year-old's tenure has been deemed successful, especially after securing the La Liga title in the 2022-23 season, despite the club facing ongoing financial challenges that will extend into 2024-25 due to a reduced salary cap.

In the current campaign, Barcelona finds themselves in third place in La Liga, trailing surprise leaders Girona by four points. Their 27-point return from 12 matches is considered solid, although there have been instances this season where Barcelona secured points with late goals.

Their last three victories in La Liga came from late strikes, but they also suffered defeats, including a 2-1 loss to Real Madrid at home and a 1-0 defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League this week.

Despite recent setbacks, ESPN reports that club officials have no intentions of dismissing Xavi from his coaching role. Sources indicate that Xavi is viewed as part of a long-term project and won't face termination based on short-term performance. In the 2023-24 season, Barcelona has achieved 11 wins, three draws, and two defeats in 16 matches across all competitions.

Xavi has notably integrated several young players into the squad during this period. The report emphasizes a 'united' atmosphere behind the scenes as Barcelona aims to stay competitive with Girona and Real Madrid, who are just two points ahead in the standings.

Since joining Barcelona nearly two years ago, Xavi has accumulated 66 wins and 21 defeats in 106 games. The club is set to face 14th-placed Alaves on Sunday before heading into the November international break.
