According to a report, Juventus have been presented with the opportunity to sign Manchester United forward Anthony Martial during the upcoming summer transfer window. After an underwhelming loan spell at Sevilla in the second half of the 2021-22 season, Martial remained at Old Trafford with the aim of establishing himself under Erik ten Hag.

Although the preseason showed promising signs for the former Monaco prodigy, injuries have plagued his regular campaign, forcing him to miss time due to back, Achilles, hamstring, and hip concerns. Allegedly, Ten Hag has grown impatient with the Frenchman, who reacted negatively to being substituted in a recent 1-0 victory over Bournemouth.

Despite the setbacks, Martial has still managed a respectable tally of nine goals and three assists in 28 appearances, including two goals in his last three Premier League matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Chelsea. However, the 27-year-old's contract at Old Trafford is set to expire in 2024, and it is unlikely that Manchester United will exercise their option for an additional year, as they are actively pursuing a new high-profile striker in the summer transfer market.

Calciomercato reports that intermediaries have offered the chance for Juventus, the Italian giants, to sign Martial, with the club having monitored him for several years. Although Juventus added Dusan Vlahovic to their attacking options in January 2022, the Serbian international has struggled to replicate his goalscoring form from his time at Fiorentina.

Speculation regarding Vlahovic's future has intensified due to Juventus' precarious situation both on and off the field, compounded by the recent deduction of an additional 10 points for financial irregularities. While Juventus director Francesco Calvo has maintained that Vlahovic is not for sale this summer, Manchester United and Chelsea could attempt to take advantage of the Bianconeri's predicament by pursuing a move for the 23-year-old. Consequently, Martial could potentially join Juventus as a replacement for Vlahovic, although there is no indication that the two players would be involved in any form of part-exchange deal between the two clubs.

Manchester United signed Martial from Monaco in 2015 for a fee of £52.2 million, and he has since amassed an impressive record of 88 goals and 53 assists in 297 appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils.

Martial is expected to be one of two strikers departing Old Trafford this summer, as Wout Weghorst, currently on loan at Burnley, has only scored twice since joining in January and is unlikely to be signed on a permanent basis.

Harry Kane, the Tottenham Hotspur forward, remains Manchester United's primary attacking target for the summer, while Victor Osimhen from Napoli and Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt have also been linked with moves to the Theatre of Dreams.
