With a top of the table, and winner takes it all clash coming up between Manchester City and Arsenal in the Premier league, the Cityzens are in a race against time to ensure the availability of some key players in their defence.

At this moment, none of City's injured defenders have been ruled out for the upcoming match against Arsenal. There's a possibility that all the injured players are dealing with minor issues and might be saved for Sunday's crucial game.

However, if things take a turn for the worse and the injuries are more serious than anticipated, Guardiola will have to make significant adjustments in defense. With Ederson already doubtful due to a knee injury from the Liverpool match, the situation becomes even more challenging.

It's likely that Dias will be available to support potential backup goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, as there's no indication of any injury concerns for the Portuguese center-back. But if Stones and Akanji are unavailable, Guardiola's defensive options become limited.

In such a scenario, either Nathan Ake or Josko Gvardiol would probably partner with Dias in the center, while the other might cover the left-back position unless Guardiola opts to reintroduce Sergio Gomez.

Rico Lewis could be ready to step in as a replacement for Walker at right-back, but there's also the possibility of Rodri being utilized as a wildcard defensive option. The Spaniard has previously played a few games at center-back for Man City, including a Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion last season.
