Aston Villa winger Moussa Diaby is set to move to Al-Ittihad for approximately 60 million euros (£50.4 million).

The 25-year-old is currently in Saudi Arabia to undergo a medical examination and finalize the transfer after just one season at Villa Park. Diaby joined Aston Villa from Bayer Leverkusen for a club-record fee of £51.9 million last summer. However, manager Unai Emery has decided to sell the French international.

This decision follows the club's recent re-signing of Jaden Philogene from Hull City for around £13.5 million. Aston Villa believes the academy graduate can significantly impact his return.

During his time at Villa, Diaby made 54 appearances, scored 10 goals, and helped the team finish fourth in the Premier League, securing a spot in the Champions League.

As Villa prepares for the new season, they have also sold midfielder Douglas Luiz to Juventus for £42.35 million last month. In addition, they have signed Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea from Juventus, left-back Ian Maatsen from Chelsea for £35 million, and winger Lewis Dobbin from Everton for around £9 million. On Tuesday, Villa completed the £50 million signing of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana.
