Sadio Mane buys French fourth division football club

It's been confirmed that former Liverpool and Bayern Munich star, Sadio Mané is the new owner of French National 2 (fourth-tier) side Bourges Foot 18.

Mane bought a majority stake in the club and it was officially announced by the local council today.

According to a statement by the club's president, Cheikh Sylla, Bourges Foot are aiming for Ligue 2 by 2030! 👇

"We aim for Ligue 2 for 2030... the arrival of Sadio brings a new international dimension."

Mané also injected funds before buying the club to help them with financial difficulties.

Congrats to Super Sadio, he's the latest club owner 👏👏
