Hello everyone.

I’m looking to understand the differences between a pickleball court and a tennis court. I know pickleball has been growing in popularity, but I’m curious about the practical differences for people playing both sports.

Is it possible to use the same court for both, or is it better to have dedicated spaces for each? I’ve seen some places marking the courts for both, but does this impact the playing experience?

I’m particularly interested in any insights on court dimensions, net height, and how the surface affects play for each sport.

Would love to hear your thoughts!

Pickleball courts are smaller (20x44 ft vs. a tennis court's 36x78 ft) and have a lower net (34 inches at the center vs. tennis’s 36 inches). While some places mark both sports on one court, it can be confusing and impact play.

Tennis surfaces work fine for pickleball, but a dedicated court is ideal for a better experience in both sports.
