Manchester United suspends Anthony over allegations of domestic abuse (1 Viewer)

Reports have confirmed that Manchester United have suspended Brazilian winger, Anthony Santos from club duties, till further notice pending the outcome of investigation on the allegations made against him.

The official statement released by the club revealed this

“Man Utd acknowledges the allegations made against Antony. He will delay his return until further notice in order to address the allegations”.

“As a club we condemn acts of violence and abuse”.

The former Ajax winger also confirmed his suspension

“I have agreed with United to take a period of absence while I address the allegations made against me”.

“This was mutual decision”.

“I want to reiterate my innocence of the things I have been accused of, I will fully cooperate with the police”.

Sources also confirmed that Antony remains on full pay and there is no timescale for his return. The Decision to suspend the winger was signed off by Richard Arnold after talks with Erik ten Hag.
