Manchester City, the current holders, have been paired with Chelsea in the semi-finals of the FA Cup. Chelsea secured their spot in the semis after a hard-fought 4-2 victory over Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Mauricio Pochettino's team now faces a showdown at Wembley Stadium against the 2023 FA Cup winners, Chelsea. Interestingly, the two sides have already faced off twice in the Premier League this season, with both matches ending in draws. The first encounter was a thrilling 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge, followed by a late equalizer securing a 1-1 draw for City at the Etihad Stadium in February.

In the other semi-final match, Manchester United will take on Coventry City. United clinched their spot in the semis with a dramatic 4-3 victory over Liverpool. Despite trailing at various points in the match, goals from Marcus Rashford and a 121st-minute winner from Amad Diallo secured a memorable win for United.

Coventry City's journey to the semi-finals is equally remarkable, as they haven't reached this stage since their FA Cup win in 1986-87. Their place in the semis was secured with a stunning 3-2 comeback victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The semi-final ties are scheduled for April 20 and April 21, respectively. However, Coventry City's Championship fixture against Hull City on April 23 could potentially impact the scheduling, possibly resulting in their match against Manchester United being played first.

It's worth noting that Manchester City also have a Champions League quarter-final second leg against Real Madrid on April 17, so they are hoping for the April 21 date to avoid fixture congestion.
