Liverpool is aiming to extend their unbeaten streak at home in the Premier League to 25 matches as they prepare to face Luton Town at Anfield this Wednesday.

After a convincing 4-1 victory over Brentford, Liverpool faced some early challenges with injuries but managed to secure a comfortable win. Despite some setbacks, including three injuries in the first half, they demonstrated their resilience with an impressive second-half performance.

Although Darwin Nunez scored the opening goal, Liverpool faced some setbacks with injuries to key players. However, they rallied back with goals from Alexis Mac Allister, Mohamed Salah, and Cody Gakpo, securing a solid win against Brentford.

Liverpool's fans had more reason to celebrate as Manchester City's draw with Chelsea puts the destiny of the Premier League title in Liverpool's hands. With a four-point lead over City, Liverpool remains in a strong position at the top of the table.

Luton Town, on the other hand, faced a tough defeat against Manchester United, leaving them disappointed and struggling near the bottom of the table. Despite showing resilience in away games, Luton has a poor record at Anfield, having failed to win in their last 14 visits.

Although Luton had a positive start to the season, their recent form has been disappointing, with a winless streak of three games. Despite their resilience, they face a tough challenge against Liverpool at Anfield, where they have historically struggled to secure a victory.

INJURIES & SUSPENSION

The Liverpool medical team had their hands full during Saturday's match against Brentford, with Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota both forced off due to injuries in the first half.

Additionally, Nunez had to be substituted at halftime due to discomfort, although his availability for Wednesday's game is still uncertain. Klopp has indicated that Jota's knee injury looks serious, paving the way for Mohamed Salah to make his first start for Liverpool since New Year's Day.

In addition to these concerns, Salah reportedly picked up another injury after the Brentford game, adding to Klopp's worries. Several other players, including Stefan Bajcetic, Joel Matip, Ben Doak, Thiago Alcantara, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, are also sidelined with various injuries, leaving Klopp with limited options.

To compound matters, Alisson Becker injured his hamstring in training before the Brentford game, meaning Caoimhin Kelleher is set to start in goal for Liverpool once again in the Premier League.

Luton Town's injury situation isn't any better, with their top scorer Elijah Adebayo ruled out due to a hamstring injury suffered during warm-up before Sunday's match. Jacob Brown is also unavailable after knee surgery, while Mads Andersen, Marvelous Nakamba, and captain Tom Lockyer are also on the sidelines. Lockyer's future in the game is uncertain following a second distressing collapse.

New signing Daiki Hashioka is still being integrated into the squad and may not feature in the upcoming match at Anfield. With a limited squad, Luton manager Edwards will likely field a similar lineup to the one that faced defeat against Brentford, with Cauley Woodrow filling in for the injured Adebayo upfront.

POSSIBLE LINE-UPS

Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Kelleher; Gomez, Quansah, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Endo, Mac Allister; Salah, Gakpo, Diaz

Luton Town possible starting lineup:
Kaminski; Bell, Osho, Mengi; Ogbene, Barkley, Lokonga, Doughty; Townsend, Chong; Morris

EXPERT PREDICTION

Liverpool 2-0 Luton Town
Luton put up a commendable fight against a strong-scoring Man United team, showing resilience especially in their recent away matches. However, losing their key player Adebayo, who is strong in the air, is a significant setback for them.

This loss gives Liverpool fans reason to feel hopeful about keeping a clean sheet for the first time this year. Despite facing more injuries, Liverpool still have enough attacking strength to put pressure on a tired Luton defense and potentially break them down.
