The Reds were the Premier League’s biggest spenders over the summer, spending more than £400m, a figure boosted by the signing of striker Alexander Isak from Newcastle United. Manager Arne Slot has reinforced several areas of his squad, including central defence with the arrival of Giovanni Leoni.
Despite that heavy outlay, Liverpool were still ready to push for Guehi and even struck a £35m agreement with Palace, though the deal ultimately collapsed.
Now, the Daily Star reports that Liverpool plan to revive their pursuit in January, when Guehi will be down to the final six months of his contract. But with Europe’s top clubs circling, it remains to be seen whether the Reds can win the race for his signature.
