Despite ongoing speculation linking him with a move to the Bernabeu over the past few years, Mbappe has remained in France as PSG continues its quest for Champions League glory.
Although Mbappe hasn't been able to lead PSG to European success yet, he has been in fine form in Ligue 1, scoring 19 goals and providing three assists in 17 appearances this season.
However, reports suggest that Mbappe has set his sights on a hefty salary for a potential move this summer, demanding £60 million per year, while Real Madrid has only offered £30 million so far.
Moreover, Mbappe is said to be seeking a £107 million signing-on bonus, which would significantly increase Real Madrid's financial commitment. This means that Mbappe may need to accept a £30 million pay cut if he wants to join the La Liga giants, although it remains uncertain whether he would be willing to do so.
Previously, Mbappe was close to joining the Saudi Pro League in a record-breaking deal with Al-Hilal, but he ultimately decided against the move. While his contract with PSG was set to expire after the 2022-23 season, Mbappe activated an extension, keeping him at Parc des Princes for the time being.
