Klopp was immediately sent to the stands as Liverpool held out for a 1-0 win, but he was charged with improper conduct by the FA in the aftermath. During his post-game press conference, Klopp immediately admitted that he went over the top in the incident, and he has accepted the charge against him.
Nevertheless, the Reds boss has held his spot on the touchline for clashes with West Ham United and Nottingham Forest, and he will not serve a one-game suspension.
However, Klopp has been hit with a hefty fine of £30,000 after admitting the improper conduct charge, although he is still able to appeal against his punishment.
A statement released by the FA on Thursday afternoon read: "Jurgen Klopp has been fined £30,000 for breaching FA Rule E3 during Liverpool FC's Premier League match against Manchester City FC on Sunday 16 October 2022.
