Manchester United Captain & England defender "Harry Maguire" holds the Nuts record of being the most relegated footballer in history.

Maguire has been relegated "5" times in his career, and he even got relegated twice in one season😁😁

In 2014, Maguire played the first half of the season with Hull City and the second half on loan at Wigan Athletic FC.

At the end of the season, Hull City were relegated to the Championship, and Wigan were relegated to League One.

Here's a complete list of all of Maguire's relegations 👇

Sheffield United, 2011-12

Maguire was playing as the centre-back for Sheffield in the 2011-12 season that saw them get relegated to League One from the Premier League. This was Maguire's first senior season and he played a total of five matches for the side.

Hull City, 2014-15

After a four-year stint with his boyhood club Sheffield, Maguire joined Hull City in 2014-15. He was loaned away to Wigan Athletic after playing in only six matches. In his absence, Hull City were knocked off the Premier League into the Championship.

Wigan Athletic, 2014-15

In the same season in which Hull City were eliminated from the Premier League, Wigan themselves were relegated from the Championship to League One. This made Maguire the only English player to get relegated twice in a single season.

Hull City, 2016-17
After his return from the loan at Wigan, Maguire started featuring in the Hull City side more regularly. He even captained the team in their 4-2 win against Middlesborough.
Despite his efforts, Hull City were relegated from the Premier League after the season.

England, 2022-23

After England's 1-0 loss to Italy in the UEFA Nations League 2022-23, the Harry Kane-led side have now been relegated to Tier II of the continental competition. This marks the fifth relegation for the Man United captain in his career.

Maguire's chances of featuring on the Man United starting lineup is also getting slimmer by the day, with regular starters Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane proving to be the more effective pair for Erik Ten Hag 🤞
