I just read about Eridson Garcia (19-1, 12 KOs) getting ready for a big fight this weekend at the BiYu Brawl in Houston. But here’s what caught my eye—this will be his last fight under his old promotion, and after that, he’s joining a brand-new boxing league that’s still being built.
He’s ranked in the WBA and says he wants “big challenges” and to grow into a multi-division champ. I think this move could be risky but exciting too. New leagues don’t always work out, but maybe this is what boxing needs?
