Chelsea are reportedly exploring a move to beat Manchester City to Marc Cucurella's signature as they ask Brighton about £50m-rated defender. There is a feeling that the Spaniard has his heart set on Guardiola & City, but the deal has stalled over Brighton's 50 Million pounds asking price.

Manchester City has stood firm and insisted on paying 40Million for the highly rated left-back, but Brighton rejected City's bid. With Chelsea in the market for a new LB, Marcos Alonso might well be on his way to Barcelona.
