Real Madrid and Manchester United have been strongly linked with the England captain, but Real Madrid's interest seems to have cooled, and Manchester United is not optimistic about convincing Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to sell to a Premier League rival. Bayern Munich has emerged as a serious contender for Kane, having had a £60.2m bid rejected earlier this week.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Bayern Munich remains hopeful of reaching an agreement with Tottenham and plans to increase their offer to approximately £80m. However, Jacobs states that Tottenham is preparing to reject any offers despite the possibility of Kane leaving on a free transfer next summer.
Bayern Munich opted not to sign a replacement for Robert Lewandowski during the previous summer transfer window but now intends to bring in a center-forward in the current market. Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt is also rumored to be on their radar, but Kane is the club's primary target, and they are seriously considering bringing him to Munich.
Kane showcased excellent form for Tottenham last season, scoring 32 goals in 49 appearances across all competitions and providing five assists. Although he scored 30 Premier League goals, Tottenham finished in eighth place, meaning they will not participate in European football next season. Kane holds the record as Tottenham's all-time leading goalscorer with 280 goals and is chasing Alan Shearer's Premier League scoring record of 260, currently sitting at 213 goals in the top flight.
While there have been suggestions that Kane prefers a move to Manchester United this summer, the Red Devils are currently focused on other targets and are wary of engaging in a protracted transfer saga involving the center-forward.
Despite his impressive performance in the league last season, Kane only managed to score one goal in eight Champions League appearances as Tottenham were eliminated in the Round of 16 stage of the competition.
