Under manager Unai Emery, the 26-year-old Luiz has become a key player for Villa, shining in the 2023-24 season with 10 goals and 10 assists in all competitions. He also boasted an impressive 89% passing accuracy in the Premier League, along with averages of 1.7 tackles and 4.2 duels won per match.
Luiz joined Aston Villa from Manchester City at the start of the 2019-20 season for about £15 million plus add-ons. Now, Villa is reportedly considering selling him for £50 million to comply with the Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability rules. Despite their financial boost from securing Champions League qualification for next season, Villa must balance new signings with player sales to avoid sanctions.
The June 30 deadline for Premier League clubs to meet these financial regulations is approaching. Selling Luiz, who cost Villa £15 million, for the reported asking price would yield a significant profit.
However, Arsenal aren't the only club interested in Luiz. Juventus has shown interest and is reportedly willing to offer USA international Weston McKennie plus around £25 million. AC Milan is also monitoring Luiz but has not yet made a formal offer.
