Adrien Rabiot is set to make a move to Ligue 1 club Marseille after reaching a deal in principle. The French midfielder, who has been a free agent since leaving Juventus in July, will return to France once he passes his medical.

At 29 years old, Rabiot brings a wealth of experience, including 48 caps for France and five years at Juventus, where he won Serie A, two Italian Cups, and one Italian Super Cup. Before Juventus, he had a stint at Manchester City's academy and made his senior debut at Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite interest from Premier League teams like Manchester United, Rabiot will join Marseille, which is currently second in Ligue 1 under new manager Roberto de Zerbi. He’ll be joining summer signings such as Mason Greenwood, Neal Maupay, and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Marseille confirmed the agreement with a statement: "Olympique de Marseille announces that it has reached an agreement in principle with Adrien Rabiot for the arrival of the French international midfielder at the club. The player will sign with OM subject to the results of the medical examination."
