Nikola Mirotic expressed his wish to see a EuroLeague expansion that will include Dubai in the near future.

Last October, the 13 owner clubs of the EuroLeague together with the acting CEO of the competition Marshall Glickman traveled to Dubai to meet with the emirate's representatives, with the aim of exploring opportunities for collaboration.

More recently, Dubai looked like a possible venue for the 2023 Final Four, which will be held in Kaunas.

What seems clear is that one way or another, the collaboration between the EuroLeague and Dubai will take place. After Dino Radja, who maintains that it's a matter of time as long as the economic conditions are met, another voice has been added to the supporters of a possible EuroLeague expansion into new markets.

In an interview with Mundo Deportivo, Nikola Mirotic said he not only wouldn't mind having to travel to Dubai, but the fact of adding a team from the United Arab Emirates to the competition would open many doors.

"There are some rumors of the possible option of [hosting a team in] Dubai. It seems like a great idea, honestly. Why not?" FC Barcelona's star player pointed out
