According to an official statement from the Guardia Civil Police, the Jota brothers were traveling in a Lamborghini car, which was involved in a road traffic accident and left the road due to a tyre blowout while overtaking.
It will be recalled that Jota only got married two weeks ago, and was part of the Portuguese squad that won the Euro nation's league final against Spain last month.
