In Sports, as it is in other sectors such as Politics, Business, and the like, personal interest comes first.

People accept offers, engage in meetings, close deals, and carry out activities with a simple end goal in mind - Personal Interest.

Sometimes, one's interest may not be feasible in the short term, but if you look critically, there's a long-term benefit for them. Now that's the icing on the cake!

With this backdrop, let's examine a story.

Kylian Mbappe, arguably the most prolific striker in the world now, is at crossroads in his footballing career. As a PSG player in the French Ligue 1 and the current National Team captain of France, Mbappe has soared high to an enviable position where top European clubs are tussling to sign him to their team.

In the previous two seasons, he has been one of Real Madrid's top targets as they aim to reclaim and continue their prestigious European club glory.

However, things have not exactly been going well lately for Mbappe at his current club - PSG. With an expired contract with the club, the star striker has interestingly not signed another deal to keep him further in France. The case got even messier when he was left out of PSG's squad for its preseason tour of Japan, with the club having given him an ultimatum to sign a new contract or be sold.

Now, here's the catch.

A Saudi Arabian club, Al Hilal, has decided to seize the opportunity and give Mbappe an offer he should not refuse. Al Hilal is offering a whopping $332 million (300 million euros) to PSG for the striker, and PSG is willing to accept the offer with both hands.

Of course, would they ever reject such money? 😂

The offer will include a €200 million fixed salary for Mbappe for just one year - after which he can decide to leave the club - plus commercial deals/image rights up to €700 million!

Just to fit that amount into a Nigerian perspective: €200 million = over N174.5 billion! That's how much Mbappe could be going home with after one year if he accepts the offer from Al Hilal.

Now I don't know what you're thinking, but even if the most successful club in Europe wants the striker at this time, should he ignore this opportunity of a lifetime to break some financial record for himself?

And don't forget that Mbappe is just 24 years old, he still has more years to play football for any club of his choice after this stint.

So, what would you advise him to do? In fact, according to new reports, a team from Al Hilal is currently in Paris for discussions with the striker.

Should he turn down this whopping offer and perhaps join Real Madrid instead? Or should he accept Al Hilal's moneybag and join the like of Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia, albeit for just one year?
