Just two days after a EuroLeague victory, Real Madrid delivered concerning news to their fans. The club announced that two key players, Edy Tavares and Sergio Llull, are facing indefinite absences due to injuries.

Specifically, Tavares has been diagnosed with an injury to the external lateral ligament of his right ankle, while Llull is dealing with an injury to the plantar fascia in his right foot.

The exact timeline for their recovery is currently uncertain. If Llull is diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, it could potentially keep him sidelined for several weeks or even months.

Tavares has been shouldering a significant playing load recently, spending 49 minutes on the court in a thrilling four-overtime match against Anadolu Efes Istanbul. He also played 38 minutes in an overtime victory against Valencia Basket on Thursday. In the latter game, Llull was observed limping.

In addition to Tavares and Llull, Real Madrid is contending with several other sidelined players. Gabriel Deck has been out for multiple weeks due to a muscle injury, Rudy Fernandez missed a game with an undisclosed injury, and Vincent Poirier was rested in the last matchup, with Tavares handling the majority of the minutes.
