At the age of 28, Evans joined Valencia after leading the ACB League in scoring with Real Betis on January 18. Prior to his debut in the EuroLeague, he showcased impressive statistics, averaging 21.0 points with a 36.3% three-point shooting rate, 2.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.9 steals per game, making him the ACB's most valuable player with a 21.4 Player Index Rating (PIR).

During the previous season, Evans participated in 12 EuroLeague games, contributing 5.5 points, 1.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and a Player Index Rating of 5.8 in an average playing time of 12.5 minutes.
