According to reports, Real Madrid is said to be gearing up for a final attempt to bring Paris Saint-Germain sensation Kylian Mbappe to their ranks at the start of 2024. Mbappe, recognized as one of the top talents in global football, has been a persistent target for Real Madrid in recent years, yet a move has yet to materialize for various reasons.

Despite Real Madrid making two substantial offers, including a €200 million bid in the summer of 2021, PSG held firm and refused to let go of Mbappe. The 24-year-old seemed destined to join Real Madrid on a free transfer after his PSG contract expired, but he surprised everyone by signing a new deal with the French champions until June 2024.

Mbappe, whose renewed contract concludes at the end of the current season, notified PSG that he won't be triggering a one-year extension, putting the Parisians at risk of losing their star striker for free next summer. Despite being temporarily excluded from first-team training and the pre-season tour squad, Mbappe rejected a record-breaking €300 million bid from Al-Hilal.

After several rounds of discussions, Mbappe returned to the PSG squad and has since netted 17 goals in as many games this season. However, uncertainty looms over his future at the Parc des Princes as 2024 approaches.

Starting in January, Mbappe can negotiate a pre-contract with foreign clubs. Relevo reports that Real Madrid plans to present their final offer to Mbappe in the early part of 2024, aiming to entice him to the Spanish capital on a free transfer next summer.

The report emphasizes that Real Madrid has learned from past negotiations and is determined to avoid a protracted transfer saga. They intend to propose a deal that Mbappe cannot refuse but won't overspend, considering the emergence of talents like Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham, and the upcoming addition of Endrick from Palmeiras next summer.

Real Madrid reportedly harbors ambitions of signing both Mbappe and Manchester City's Erling Haaland in 2024, though financial constraints may impact this dual pursuit.

While Mbappe has attracted interest from various top clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich, Real Madrid appears to be in pole position should he decide to leave PSG. Having spent over six years with PSG, Mbappe has become the club's all-time leading scorer, clinching 12 trophies, including five Ligue 1 titles, during his tenure.
