According to reports, six Paris Saint-Germain players have expressed their dissatisfaction with Kylian Mbappe's recent comments to club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. In his interviews, Mbappe has raised significant doubts about his future with the club, suggesting that he has reached a "glass ceiling" with the French champions.

Following his fifth consecutive Ligue 1 golden boot win, Mbappe seemingly distanced himself from being a factor in the club's lack of success in European competitions. He further stated that playing for PSG "does not help" his aspirations of winning the Ballon d'Or. Journalist Kaveh Solhekol reports that six PSG players, including two new signings, have expressed their concerns to the president regarding Mbappe's remarks.

As Mbappe remains unwilling to sign a new contract, Al-Khelaifi has issued an ultimatum, stating that the striker must leave the club this summer if he does not commit to his future with PSG. Despite Mbappe expressing his desire to stay in Paris for the final year of his contract, Al-Khelaifi has firmly rejected that possibility.

The PSG president has responded by asserting that:

"Kylian must decide in a week or two at the most. If he doesn't sign a new contract, we will sell him. It's not negotiable."

With only one year remaining on Kylian Mbappe's contract, PSG is hesitant to allow him to leave on a free transfer and instead aims to capitalize on the French World Cup winner by securing a transfer fee.

Despite the recent threat made by the club president, ESPN reports that Mbappe remains calm and unaffected by the situation.

According to the report, Real Madrid is now the sole option for Mbappe this summer, as he refuses to sign a new deal. Real Madrid is keen on reaching an agreement but is awaiting the first move from either Mbappe or PSG. As the only club capable of affording Mbappe, it aligns with his preference to join the Spanish giants. However, Real Madrid appears to be adopting a low-key approach before committing to a bid.

The anticipated deal is expected to exceed €200m (£170m), encompassing various elements such as a transfer fee, add-ons, and commission.

If Mbappe sees out his current contract, PSG will be obligated to pay him a loyalty bonus of €70m (£60m), regardless of whether he stays or departs afterward.

Furthermore, the ESPN report indicates that while Mbappe has never explicitly promised not to leave as a free agent, he would prefer PSG to receive a transfer fee that can be reinvested in securing a suitable replacement.
