It is anticipated that Gregg Popovich, the head coach of the San Antonio Spurs, will continue in his role for the foreseeable future. According to LJ Ellis from Spurs Talk, the 74-year-old Popovich is likely to sign a new contract with the Spurs, spanning three years. As part of the agreement, Popovich is expected to earn approximately $14 million annually. The contract also includes an option for Popovich to terminate it after either of the first two seasons.

In the upcoming 2023 NBA Draft, the Spurs are projected to choose Victor Wembanyama as the No. 1 pick.

Popovich has been the head coach of the Spurs since the 1996-97 season. During his tenure, he has led the team to win five NBA championships and has been honored as the Coach of the Year on three occasions.
