According to reports, Chelsea and Manchester United have both been offered the chance to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Benjamin Pavard this summer. The 2018 World Cup champion has been widely connected with a move away from Bayern Munich with the additions of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.

Pavard's contract with the perennial Bundesliga champions expires in two years, which might put the club in a bind if he does not agree to new terms. Blues manager Thomas Tuchel, who is looking for new faces in defense, is said to enjoy the 26-year-old's versatility across the backline. Chelsea may have to compete with Manchester United for his talents, according to Sport 1, as both teams have been offered the chance to sign the defender by his agent Joseph Mohan.
