Liverpool is reportedly showing interest in acquiring PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Sangare before the conclusion of the summer transfer window.

The recent state of affairs within Liverpool's midfield has been extensively documented, with Jurgen Klopp witnessing the departure of up to five players from that sector in the past months. While three of these exits were premeditated free transfers, the departures of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson to Saudi Arabian clubs were prompted by the players themselves. This has placed Klopp and Liverpool's ownership under pressure to identify suitable replacements, especially after narrowly avoiding defeat in their opening Premier League match against Chelsea.

According to ESPN, there is a possibility that Liverpool might make an offer for Sangare in the upcoming weeks. Kiki Musampa, the brother of the player's agent, mentioned on Good Morning Eredivisie that several prominent clubs, including Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, are monitoring the situation as they seek to enhance their midfield options.

Sangare, an Ivory Coast international, has become a pivotal player at PSV, contributing 14 goals and 10 assists across 136 appearances in all competitions. While PSV would ideally prefer to retain the 25-year-old's services, it's been reported that his contract, which extends until 2027, includes a release clause of €37 million (£31.91 million).

Considering Liverpool's recent willingness to pay £110 million for Caicedo, it's theoretically well within their financial capabilities to secure the signature of Sangare.

Sangare featured for the entire 90 minutes over the weekend as PSV commenced their Eredivisie campaign with a 2-0 victory against FC Utrecht.
