Reports have emerged that Liverpool has had positive discussions concerning a potential agreement with Bayern Munich's midfielder Ryan Gravenberch. The team's focus on reinforcing its midfield has intensified following the departures of key players such as Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, James Milner, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain during the summer months.

Liverpool initially secured Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister, after which they pursued Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia. However, the disappointment ensued as these players opted to join Chelsea, a rival in the Premier League. Despite setbacks, Jurgen Klopp's squad made headway in their quest for new recruits, acquiring Japan's captain Wataru Endo from Stuttgart in a £16.2 million transfer. Nevertheless, the Reds are eager to further enhance their midfield choices.

One individual on their radar is Gravenberch, and reports suggest that negotiations with the Netherlands international have been advancing positively. According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool has engaged in productive conversations with Bayern regarding a potential deal for the 21-year-old.

Gravenberch, who moved from Ajax to Bayern last summer, is inclined towards departing the German champions due to his challenges in securing a regular spot in the lineup. In the previous season, he started just three Bundesliga matches, and the arrival of Konrad Laimer has seemingly relegated him further down the team hierarchy. Gravenberch found himself an unused substitute in both the German Super Cup loss to RB Leipzig and the 4-0 league victory over Werder Bremen.

Liverpool's Premier League competitor, Manchester United, has also shown interest in Gravenberch, believed to be his preferred destination.

Furthermore, aside from discussions regarding Gravenberch, Liverpool has reportedly engaged in talks with Crystal Palace concerning Mali's international player Cheick Doucoure. Following his move from Lens to Crystal Palace last summer, the 23-year-old showcased promise during his inaugural season at Selhurst Park, participating in 34 Premier League matches.
