After being without a team for the entirety of the 2022-23 season, Isaiah Thomas is making his return to basketball. As reported by Shams Charania from The Athletic, Thomas is slated to join the Salt Lake City Stars, the G League affiliate team of the Utah Jazz.

At 35 years old, Thomas's last NBA appearance was during the 2021-22 season, where he had stints with the LA Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, and Charlotte Hornets, accumulating 22 games and averaging 8.4 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.

During that same season, Thomas also showcased his skills in the G League, playing three games and impressively averaging 41.3 points per game, along with 3.7 rebounds and 6.7 assists.

Thomas is most remembered for his impactful years with the Boston Celtics, particularly during the playoffs, where he played a pivotal role. In the 2016-17 season, Thomas maintained an impressive average of 28.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 5.9 assists, earning him All-NBA Second Team honors and securing the 5th spot in MVP voting.
