Frank Lampard is reportedly showing interest in taking over from Michael Beale as the next manager of Scottish Premiership club Rangers. Beale, who managed Rangers for a total of 10 months, parted ways with the team after a run of three defeats in their first seven league matches this season.

Lampard, who most recently served as the interim manager of Chelsea between April and May this year, had a challenging stint with just one win in 11 matches before the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino. With Rangers currently in search of a new manager, Lampard is eager to explore the possibility of joining them at Ibrox, as reported by BBC Sport.

The former England international is currently without a club since leaving Chelsea at the end of last season when the club chose not to extend his interim contract. At the moment, Rangers have Steven Davis and Alex Rae as their interim management team.

Lampard embarked on his managerial career with Derby County in 2018 and later took on a permanent role at Chelsea from July 2019 to January 2021. Additionally, he had a brief tenure of 44 games in charge of Everton, where he helped the team avoid relegation but was dismissed at the beginning of this year following a string of nine losses in 12 league matches.
