Conor Benn made a triumphant return to the boxing ring in Florida, securing a points victory over Rodolfo Orozco. The British welterweight fighter, making his comeback after facing a suspension due to two failed drug tests for clomifene prior to his bout against Chris Eubank Jr in October last year, marked this occasion with a decisive win.

Despite not receiving clearance to fight from the BBBofC (British Boxing Board of Control), who contested the lifting of his suspension by the National Anti-Doping Panel, Benn was granted a license to compete in Orlando on Saturday night.

While Benn was the clear favorite to prevail over Mexico's Orozco and negotiate terms for a rescheduled match with Eubank in the coming year, the fight extended to 10 rounds. This extended bout, however, may turn out to be a blessing in disguise given Benn's prior inactivity.

Throughout the contest, Benn displayed dominance, although Orozco managed to find moments of success, as evident from two judges' scorecards reading 96-94. Ultimately, Benn's impactful shots earned him a 99-91 score on the other judge's card.
